Process Integration Internship H/F

AubervilliersOn-siteInternship

AI Summary

Internship in Process Integration focusing on analyzing fabrication and measurement data, validating processes, and supporting tool development for quantum hardware at Alice & Bob.

About this role

Alice & Bob is developing the first universal, fault-tolerant quantum computer to solve the world鈥檚 hardest problems.
The quantum computer we envision building is based on a new kind of superconducting qubit: the Schr枚dinger cat qubit 馃悎鈥嶁瑳. In comparison to other superconducting platforms, cat qubits have the astonishing ability to implement quantum error correction autonomously!
We're a diverse team of 200+ brilliant minds from over 30 countries united by a single goal: to revolutionise computing with a practical fault-tolerant quantum machine. Are you ready to take on unprecedented challenges and contribute to revolutionising technology? Join us, and let's shape the future of quantum computing together!

Within the Quantum Hardware department, the Foundries & Process Integration (FPI) team plays a key role by bridging front-end and back-end nanofabrication with design and device performance. Its mission includes process data analysis, device modeling, transversal failure analysis, and managing foundry collaborations to ensure scalability.
We are looking for a motivated and talented Process Integration Intern to join our team for a 6-month internship starting in September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the industrialization of quantum computing hardware by supporting the development and optimization of data acquisition and analysis tools.

Responsibilities:

At Alice & Bob you will:
  • Analyze Fabrication and Measurement Data: Extract and interpret data from nanofabrication processes and electrical measurements to assess performance, frequency targeting uniformity, and junction consistency in superconducting circuits.
  • Contribute to Process Transfer & Equipment Validation: Evaluate the transfer of fabrication processes by analyzing wafer data and verifying alignment with target specifications. Support the validation of new tools by analyzing test wafer results, identifying deviations, and recommending adjustments or follow-up experiments.
  • Documentation: Maintain clear, organized records of analyses, pipelines, methodologies, and improvement proposals. Prepare internal reports and present findings to the engineering team when needed.
  • Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a Master鈥檚 degree in Engineering or Physics, or an equivalent engineering school diploma
  • Strong interest in data analysis, and characterization.
  • Familiarity with data analysis tools and software such as JMP and Python.
  • Fluent in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced, cutting-edge environment.
  • Hands-on experience with characterization equipment (AFM, optical microscope) and processes is a plus
  • Understanding of SQL databases is a plus
