The Procurement Engineer - Mechanical (Shutdown & Turnaround) will be responsible for managing and coordinating all procurement activities related to mechanical equipment and materials during shutdown and turnaround phases. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement plans for shutdown and turnaround activities.
- Source and qualify suppliers/vendors for mechanical equipment and materials.
- Prepare procurement documentation, including RFQs, purchase orders, and contracts.
- Monitor procurement schedules to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Coordinate with project and maintenance teams to understand material requirements and priorities.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and Saudi Aramco procurement standards.
- Manage vendor relationships and resolve procurement-related issues.
- Support budgeting and cost control activities related to procurement.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and reports.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of procurement experience in mechanical disciplines, specifically in shutdown and turnaround projects, with Saudi experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, and contract administration.
- Familiarity with Saudi Aramco procurement standards and procedures preferred.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Proficient in procurement software and Microsoft Office applications.
