Overview: Nomad Global Communications Solutions is a leading provider of communication and response products serving a diverse set of customers when every minute matters. The Production Controls Coordinator / Analyst is responsible for establishing, maintaining, and continuously improving production control processes in an engineered-to-order manufacturing environment. This role ensures that engineering definitions, manufacturing processes, and ERP execution are fully aligned so that shop orders are accurate, routings and labor standards are valid, and production flows efficiently from order release through completion.
In this position, the Production Controls Coordinator / Analyst supports the production control functions as the business scales, to include coordination between production controls, engineering, supply chain and operations to ensure schedule adherence and on time customer delivery.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITY:
ERP and Data Integrity
- Accurately enter and maintain manufacturing details within the IFS ERP system, including work centers, job routings, and hours estimations
- Follow established processes to ensure precise transfer of engineering bills of materials (EBOM) into the ERP system
- Maintain data integrity across EBOM, MBOM, and shop order records to support accurate production planning
- Develop and maintain a strong working knowledge of IFS ERP to execute processes efficiently and support continuous improvement
Production Planning and Operations
- Review enterprise scheduling tools to assess project timelines and prioritize bill of materials processing based on project schedules and material lead times
- Work across functional departments to ensure timely resolution and processing of EBOMs, MBOMs, and shop orders
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of Nomad build sequencing and manufacturing processes to support accurate production scheduling
- Work independently and follow established procedures to meet project deadlines and support the Production Controls Manager
Operations Support
- Print and assemble job routing manufacturing books in accordance with production requirements
- Assist Production Leads in adding additional routings and printing updated shop order barcode travelers when new operations are introduced
- Interpret CAD drawings to support accurate routing and work center assignments
- Leverage Microsoft Office Suite tools to organize, track, and communicate production data effectively
Manufacturing and Change Management
- Monitor and track non-conforming materials and engineering change orders as they relate to IFS processing to help the production team meet schedule commitments
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure changes are accurately reflected across all related manufacturing documentation and ERP records
- Serve as a reliable point of support for the Production Controls Manager in managing cross-functional change workflows

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
- Professional office environment with regular interaction with guests, clients, team members, and vendors.
- Typical indoor manufacturing environment. Noise level is usually moderate. Safety glasses and closed-toe shoes are required when on the production floor.
- Everyday workwear must be business casual/smart casual and appropriate for the office environment.
- Subject to temperatures fluctuations if/when job duties require time on the production floor.
- Periodic travel may be required at times.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills with attention to detail.
- Experience with ERP systems, preferably IFS.
- Ability to read and interpret CAD drawings.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with Nomad build sequencing and manufacturing processes.
