We’re looking for a hands-on Production Leading Hand to join our Sunshine Coast team and lead our manufacturing operations.

About the Role

As the Production Leading Hand, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day production activities, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met. You will lead a team of production staff, coordinate schedules, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

This role is hands-on and ideal for someone who enjoys being on the floor, solving problems, and motivating a team to achieve results.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead a team of production staff to meet daily and weekly targets
• Ensure manufacturing processes run safely, efficiently, and to quality standards
• Coordinate production schedules and workflow to meet customer demands
• Monitor and maintain equipment, troubleshoot issues, and support continuous improvement initiatives
• Foster a positive and collaborative team culture

Working arrangement: Monday to Friday 8am – 4pm

About you

• Experience in a manufacturing or production environment, ideally steel or metal fabrication
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team
• Knowledge of health and safety practices in a production setting
• Excellent problem-solving, planning, and organisational skills
• Hands-on approach and willingness to get involved on the shop floor
