Production / Manufacturing Manager

About the role

• Bravo Ordnance seeks an experienced Production Manager to oversee manufacturing operations and lead our production team in a fast-paced, quality-focused environment. This role is critical to scaling our operations while maintaining the highest standards of precision and safety. The Production Manager will be responsible for optimizing production schedules, managing inventory, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across our manufacturing facility.

What you'll do

• Plan, schedule, and coordinate daily production activities to meet customer delivery commitments and sales forecasts while optimizing resource allocation and minimizing waste
• Supervise and mentor production team members including machine operators, assemblers, and quality inspectors; conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing training to develop staff capabilities
• Monitor production metrics including efficiency rates, defect rates, cycle times, and labor costs; implement corrective actions and process improvements to achieve or exceed departmental KPIs
• Manage inventory levels, equipment maintenance schedules, and material flow to ensure uninterrupted production while minimizing carrying costs and downtime
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, quality standards, and industry-specific requirements; conduct regular audits and maintain documentation for regulatory bodies

Qualifications

• 5+ years of production management experience in manufacturing or similar industrial environment, preferably in precision manufacturing or ordnance-related industries
• Proven track record of implementing process improvements, reducing waste, and improving production efficiency by measurable percentages
• Strong leadership and team management skills with ability to motivate diverse teams and manage cross-functional collaboration
• Knowledge of production planning software, ERP systems, and basic data analysis; proficiency in Microsoft Office suite required
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills with ability to prioritize multiple demands and meet tight deadlines
