The Opportunity
BlueScope Distribution is looking for a Project Coordinator to join the Sales and Accounts Team predominately based in Kewdale, WA. BlueScope Distribution is a single-source provider of product, processing and service solutions in steel and aluminium product. The business supports customers in a variety of industries and works with them to help deliver projects on time and to specification. BlueScope Distribution supports its customers by helping them find the freedom to do what they do best.
This is a permanent full-time opportunity supporting a diverse portfolio of customer projects across the Defence, Mining and Manufacturing sectors. Working within a fast-paced and collaborative environment, you will play a critical role in coordinating project activities, tracking deliverables, liaising with customers and vendors, and helping ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and to customer expectations.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build on their project coordination experience while gaining exposure to complex, high-profile projects. You'll work closely with Business Development Managers, Project Managers, Operations teams and external stakeholders, giving you broad exposure across the full project lifecycle while developing valuable project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
What Will You Do?
In this varied and rewarding role, you assist in ensuring successful delivery of products to our key accounts. Key responsibilities include:
- coordinate and track customer projects to ensure key milestones and delivery commitments are achieved
- create, maintain and monitor project schedules, tracking tools and reporting documentation
- support sales and production order management, providing accurate order status updates to customers and internal stakeholders
- collaborate with operations, logistics, dispatch, procurement and external vendors to ensure project requirements are met
- assist with quality assurance activities, auditing requirements and project documentation
- conduct customer and vendor site visits to support project delivery and stakeholder engagement
More About You
We're looking for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders and moving parts. You will be highly organised, customer-focused and comfortable balancing project coordination with operational engagement.
You will bring:
- experience in a Project Coordinator, Project Support, Customer Service or similar role.
- strong organisational, time management and problem-solving skills
- excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships across internal and external stakeholders
- proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management systems
- experience working within industrial, manufacturing, warehousing, logistics, defence or project delivery environments will be highly regarded
- a hands-on approach and willingness to spend time engaging with customers, vendors and operational teams
