We are looking for an experienced Project Manager, with a background in banking and specifically card operations. In this position, you will be in a cross role between a project and product manager, and you will be working on various projects related to card operations (communication with vendors, card manufacturers & account managers). Also, you will be in a cross-functional team environment, collaborating with multiple departments internally and with internal IT teams (developers, QA engineers, analysts etc).
Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end delivery of card products and card-related initiatives, from business requirements to production launch
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements, functional specifications, user stories, and process flows
- Coordinate cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Operations, Compliance, Customer Support, Finance, and external vendors
- Drive implementation of new card products, payment features, and integrations with processors, card schemes, and third-party providers
- Own project timelines, priorities, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder communication
- Collaborate with Visa, Mastercard, processors, personalization bureaus, and technology partners during project implementation
- Participate in product design by defining customer journeys, operational processes, and business requirements
- Ensure new functionality complies with card scheme rules, regulatory requirements, and internal policies
- Coordinate UAT, certification, production readiness, and post-launch monitoring
- Analyze existing processes and identify opportunities for automation and operational improvements
- Prepare project documentation, reports, presentations, and implementation plans
- Support business teams with product knowledge and operational expertise
- Define, monitor, and analyze product and operational KPIs, using data to identify opportunities for improvement and support product decisions
- Prepare regular management reports, executive presentations, business cases, and project status updates for senior leadership and key stakeholders
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in project management, business analysis, product management, or card payments
- Experience delivering projects in card issuing, acquiring, or digital payments
- Strong understanding of card payment lifecycle, including authorization, clearing, settlement, disputes, and fraud processes
- Experience writing business requirements, functional specifications, and process documentation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to work independently and collaborate across multiple teams
- Proficiency in leveraging AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Claude or similar) to accelerate business analysis, documentation, research, project management, and decision-making.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and management-level recommendations
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, with experience preparing high-quality reports and executive presentations
- Experience working with Visa and Mastercard projects (nice to have)
- Experience with card processors (nice to have)
- Experience launching new card products or payment features (nice to have)
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies such as Scrum/Kanban (nice to have)
