YOUR ROLE:
We are seeking a highly organized, strategic, and creatively driven Creative Project Manager to lead integrated marketing and CRM campaigns. This role sits at the intersection of creative, marketing, data, and technology, ensuring work is delivered on time, on budget, and on brand.
You will oversee complex projects across multiple channels (email, digital, CRM, and integrated campaigns) while partnering with cross-functional teams with a focus on creative.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Program & Creative Project Leadership
- Support creative leadership in translating business objectives and marketing briefs into compelling creative strategies and actionable creative direction
- Partner with creative directors, designers, copywriters, and production teams to ensure world-class creative execution
- Champion innovative creative approaches, trend awareness, and breakthrough storytelling that differentiates brand and campaigns
- Ensure creative work aligns with brand guidelines, UX best practices, accessibility standards, and campaign objectives
Creative & Campaign Execution
- Lead end-to-end execution of creative campaigns and multi-channel deliverables (email, CRM, web, social, display, direct mail)
- Oversee production workflows for creative assets including concepting, design, copywriting, motion graphics, and video production
- Manage creative resource allocation to ensure optimal talent deployment across projects
Drive quality assurance processes including creative reviews, rendering QA, personalization testing, and compliance checks - Provide support for creative standards, asset libraries, and production templates for consistency and efficiency
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Build strong collaborative relationships with internal creative talent, clients, and external production/agency partners
- Facilitate creative brainstorms, strategy sessions, and collaborative workshops to align vision and drive innovation
- Coordinate resources and dependencies across creative projects to ensure seamless delivery and timeline adherence
- Ensure translation of client and business needs into creative briefs and direction that inspire creative teams
Financial & Operational Management
- Support Statements of Work (SOWs), estimates, and change orders
- Manage project budgets, track spend, forecast financials, and ensure delivery within scope
- Oversee vendor management, including cost tracking and integration into project plans
- Identify and drive process improvements to increase efficiency, scalability, and consistency
Email & CRM Operations
- Lead execution of email and CRM campaigns including lifecycle, triggered, and promotional programs
- Collaborate with marketing automation teams for build and deployment
- Oversee QA processes (rendering, personalization, links, dynamic content)
- Ensure proper segmentation, scheduling, and deployment readiness
Performance & Optimization
- Partner with analytics to measure creative performance, learnings, and impact on campaign results
- Apply insights and creative learnings to drive continuous improvement of future campaigns and creative approaches
- Champion creative excellence, innovation, and operational best practices across the team
Process Improvement & Team Leadership
- Continuously improve workflows, tools, and ways of working
- Maintain documentation for processes, standards, and learnings
- Manage and provide support to creative team to promote best practices across the team
- Champion operational excellence, collaboration, and delivery quality
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- 3+ years of relevant experience managing projects (preferably within an interactive advertising or marketing agency environment)
- Knowledge of project management principles, methods and techniques
- Understanding of creative design and development principles, specifically for email/digital development
- Experience managing project timing
- Proven organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong business writing skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstration of drive and initiative
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment

RAPP's current hybrid model is designed to enable in-person connections and collaboration that is core to our culture, while also supporting flexibility for all employees. As such, we have the option to work from home two days per week, if we'd like.

This range is specific to Chicago and multiple factors are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to: skill set, experience and training, certifications; etc. This is an exempt position.
