About this role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Operations team and lead the successful delivery of mechanical and electrical projects.

This is a key project leadership role, responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

You will manage senior project personnel, including Site Managers, Engineers, Quantity Surveyors and other departmental leads, while working closely with clients, design teams, subcontractors and internal stakeholders.

This role will suit a strong M&E project delivery professional who enjoys leading teams, managing complexity and taking ownership of project performance from pre-construction through to completion.

Key Responsibilities

As Project Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading the delivery of assigned mechanical and electrical projects
  • Managing project programmes, budgets, quality standards and client expectations
  • Supporting estimation, tender preparation and pre-construction planning
  • Driving design development, value engineering and buildability reviews
  • Working closely with the Project QS to ensure strong commercial control
  • Managing procurement activity, including subcontractors, specialists, plant and equipment
  • Overseeing subcontractor performance and ensuring works are delivered in line with contract requirements and specifications
  • Monitoring labour, materials, plant and project resources
  • Ensuring weekly progress reports are completed, including RFIs, procurement schedules, technical submittals, programme updates and key project risks
  • Chairing regular meetings with design teams, subcontractors and internal project stakeholders
  • Supporting the effective control and coordination of site labour and materials
  • Ensuring company health and safety procedures are implemented across the project
  • Maintaining strong working relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal teams
  • Supporting business development activity and identifying future project opportunities

Requirements

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone with:

  • 5–10 years’ experience in a project management or senior project delivery role
  • Strong experience within the mechanical and electrical, building services or M&E contracting sector
  • Experience managing complex construction or engineering projects
  • Strong commercial awareness and the ability to work closely with QS and commercial teams
  • Experience managing subcontractors, project teams and external stakeholders
  • Good understanding of procurement, programme management, technical submittals and project reporting
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety requirements within a construction environment
  • Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills
