QC Sample Management Group Leader - 3rd Shift (Wed-Sat)

🔬 Key Responsibilities

• Verify incoming samples and log transactions in LIMS
• Handle, store, organize, and track samples
• Deliver samples to QC labs and fulfill pull requests
• Prepare samples for shipment and manage inventory/disposal
• Perform environmental monitoring (temperature, CO₂, etc.)
• Ensure compliance with SOPs and regulatory requirements
• Report deviations and quality issues as needed
• Collaborate with internal teams and external customers

👥 Leadership Responsibilities

• Lead and support a team in a regulated environment
• Track performance using quality metrics and ensure deadlines are met
• Coordinate priorities and timelines with client stakeholders
• Set team goals and support operational planning
• Manage time off, payroll entries, and team scheduling
• Support hiring, onboarding, and training initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Life Sciences or related degree
• Experience in a cGMP environment strongly preferred
• Leadership experience 
• Thrive working in a fast-paced environment and have the ability to multitask
• A keen eye for detail
• Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
• Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship is required

Additional Information

• Position is full-time, this role is 3rd shift on a Wednesday-Saturday 10pm-8:30am schedule . Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Rensselaer, NY are encouraged to apply. Compensation is $26.00-$32.00 per hour based on experience. Third shift gets an additional 15% shift differential.
