Quality Controller

At Irizar Forge, a leading industrial forging company based in Gipuzkoa (Lazkao) and part of Royal Van Beest Group, we are looking for a Quality Controller to join our team.

Job Purpose

• Ensure compliance with established quality requirements.

• Coordinate inspection and testing activities.

• Manage deviations and non-conformities.

• Provide technical support to operations.

• Drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency.

Requirements

Main responsibilities

• Prepare and manage Inspection Plans.

• Coordinate and supervise inspection and testing teams (NDT, DT and load testing).

• Monitor manufacturing processes and identify deviations.

• Manage internal and supplier non-conformities.

• Provide technical support on the shop floor regarding quality-related issues.

• Coordinate and manage customer inspections.

• Define, design and manage inspection and testing fixtures and tooling.

• Manage the calibration of equipment and measuring instruments.

• Participate in product and process improvement projects.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related field, or equivalent proven experience.

• Experience in industrial environments, preferably within the metalworking or mechanical industry.

• Knowledge of metrology, NDT/DT testing and engineering drawing interpretation.

• Experience working with SAP.

• Proficiency in design software (SolidWorks or equivalent).

• Advanced level of English.

• Strong organizational, planning and decision-making skills.
