We're seeking aQuality Engineerto join a growing manufacturing team inSanta Fe, TX. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about quality systems, continuous improvement, and driving manufacturing excellence in a highly regulated environment.
What You'll Do
Develop, implement, and maintain quality standards to ensure customer satisfaction and compliance with engineering specifications.
Lead root cause investigations for internal and external non-conformances using methodologies such as 5-Why, Fishbone, and 8D.
Drive Lean/Six Sigma continuous improvement initiatives to reduce scrap, rework, and manufacturing variation.
Monitor and report quality KPIs to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
Create and maintain SOPs and quality documentation.
Conduct internal quality audits and ensure compliance with established procedures.
Partner with suppliers and production teams to resolve quality concerns and verify corrective actions.
Inspect incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products against engineering drawings and specifications.
Manage corrective actions, containment activities, and gauge calibration programs.
Train manufacturing personnel on quality best practices, blueprint reading, and measurement techniques.
What We're Looking For
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field
Green Belt certification or Lean/Six Sigma training preferred
Experience leading or participating in Lean manufacturing initiatives, Kaizen events, or continuous improvement projects is highly preferred
2–3+ years of experience in quality engineering, manufacturing, or inspection
Experience with quality systems, inspections, and measurement equipment
Strong understanding of SPC, root cause analysis, and data-driven problem solving
Proficiency with calipers, micrometers, height gauges, thread gauges, and blueprint reading
Familiarity with API 6A, API 6D, API Q1, and ISO 9001 standards
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
