We are seeking a skilled and experienced post-contract Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in providing expert cost management and consultancy services for various construction projects across the region.
- Manage post-contract commercial activities on developer-led projects from award to final account
- Monitor and control project costs, including cost-to-complete and cashflow forecasts
- Assess, negotiate, and agree variations, claims, and change events
- Prepare monthly cost reports for internal teams and stakeholders
- Identify and manage commercial and cost risks throughout the project lifecycle
- Lead negotiations with contractors and suppliers to achieve best value
- Administer interim payments, valuations, and final accounts
- Work closely with engineers, consultants, and site teams to support project delivery
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
- Professional certification from a recognized institution (e.g., RICS, AACE International) an advantage
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in quantity surveying or cost consultancy.
- Previous experience in the Middle East region is essential.
- Proficiency in cost estimation software (e.g., CostX) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills with a keen eye for detail
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, contractors, and team members
- In-depth knowledge of construction industry standards, practices, and current market rates
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Fluency in English
