The Relationship Manager ensures the accuracy, timeliness, and completeness of Management and Occupancy Reviews (MORs) and supports contract administration responsibilities with professionalism and integrity.

Responsibilities

As aRelationship Manager, you willbe responsible fora variety of duties, including but not limited to:

Regulatory Compliance & Technical Expertise

  • Applies deep knowledge of federal, state, and local housing regulations, HUD handbooks, program directives, and ACC requirements.
  • Conducts complete MORsin accordance withHUD guidelines, corporate procedures, and training standards.
  • Maintainsaccuratedocumentation across internal and external systems within requiredtimeframes.
  • Obtains andmaintainsCertified Professional of Occupancy or Certified Occupancy Specialist certification within one year;participatesinadditionalcertifications as assigned.

Analytical Thinking & Data Integrity

  • Utilizes strong research, data analysis, and interpretation skills to evaluate property operations.
  • Produces clear, concise, andaccuratereports, including MOR drafts, responses, and follow-ups.
  • Ensuresaccuratemathematical calculations and high-accuracy data entry within required systems.
  • Demonstratesproficiencywith Microsoft Office Suite, Windows-based applications, and databases.

Professional Communication & Customer Engagement

  • Communicates clearly and confidently in writing and verbally with owners, agents, HUD, residents, local officials, and colleagues.
  • Serves as a local point of contact for compliance guidance, program interpretation, andissueresolution.
  • Manages difficult or emotionally distressed customers with calm, courteous, and professional demeanor.
  • RepresentsNavigate at local, regional, or state meetings andmaintainsprofessional presence.

Planning, Organization & Time Management

  • Manages multiple assignments, schedules MORs, and meets strict program deadlines.
  • Maintains detailed, organized records and tracks all required documentation.
  • Adheres to telecommuting agreements andremainsaccessible during designated business hours.
  • Prioritizes work effectively during periods of heavy workload or extensive travel.

Relationship Building & Collaboration

  • Establishes andmaintainseffective working relationships with external partners and internal teams.
  • Assistsfield offices and collaborates with colleagues across departments as needed.
  • Demonstrates respect, cooperation, and professionalism in all interactions.

  • Identifiescompliance issues and determinesappropriate responsesbased on regulatory guidance.

Requirements

Conditions of Employment:
