Finance

Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Consolidation
- Prepare monthly consolidated and solo financial statements in accordance with IFRS and Turkish GAAP
- Analyse and explain monthly trends across all financial statements
- Prepare and submit the Monthly Financials (numbers, trial balance, three financial statements with accuracy and control points)
- Support month-end, quarterly, and year-end closing processes working alongside the Accounting & Tax teams, and external partners (tax advisors, auditors)
- Ensure consistency between Turkish statutory reporting and IFRS investor reporting
Internal Controls & Governance
- Develop, implement, and monitor internal control policies and procedures
- Assess effectiveness of existing controls and lead efforts to strengthen them
- Identify risks in business processes and implement measures to mitigate them
- Create and maintain SOPs for core finance and reporting workflows (target: top 10 processes within 90 days)
NetSuite (ERP) Controls
- Own the ERP control environment — access controls, approval workflows, segregation of duties
- Work with the Accounting team on management papers, reconciliations, and documentation
- Support system improvements and process automation initiatives
- Ensure data integrity between NetSuite and reporting outputs
- Work with Accounting team on deploying AI Agents to automate and strengthen financial operational workflows
Audit
- Coordinate with external auditors, prepare audit schedules, and manage audit timelines
- Lead the year-end audit process, targeting zero material findings
- Maintain audit-ready documentation and support any regulatory or tax audits
Process Improvement
- Actively identify and implement reporting process improvements
- Collaborate with the Accounting & Tax team on management papers and documentation
- Partner with Accounting to deploy AI agents to automate and strengthen financial operational workflows
- Support AI agent validation — review and validate outputs
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification
- 5-7 years of experience, including minimum 3 years in audit (Big 4 strongly preferred)
- Solid knowledge of IFRS and Turkish GAAP
- Experience with ERP systems — NetSuite experience preferred; Oracle, SAP, or Logo acceptable
- Strong English, both written and spoken
- Analytical mindset with meticulous attention to detail and high integrity
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong Excel skills
Preferred
- Experience designing or implementing internal controls frameworks
- Experience with group consolidation across multiple entities and jurisdictions
- Familiarity with AI tools for finance process automation
Reports to: Co-founder and CFO. This is an individual contributor role working from the office, which is located in Levent, Istanbul.
