About the Role

We are seeking a Robot Platform Software Engineer to design and build the high-performance software framework our intelligent robot applications run on. You'll connect real-world robot data to model advancement, stand up synthetic data generation on simulation environments, and resolve the real-time and distributed computing challenges that come with running robots at scale.

  • Design and structure of high-performance software frameworks and systems that form the basis of intelligent robot applications.
  • Development of automation systems for efficiently collecting and selecting real-world robot data and connecting it to a model advancement pipeline.
  • System verification and establishment of a synthetic data (Synthetic Data) generation pipeline using simulation environments such as NVIDIA Isaac Sim and Gazebo.
  • Resolving data processing bottlenecks, ensuring real-time capabilities (Real-time), and optimizing resources in a distributed computing environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science (CS) or a related field (Foundational CS knowledge such as data structures, algorithms, and operating systems is essential).
  • Proficiency in C++, C, and Python (Object-Oriented Design and efficient system programming capabilities).
  • Deep understanding of multi-threading, IPC (Inter-Process Communication), and distributed system environments.
  • Experience integrating complex software stacks into actual systems and operating them stably.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience building a robot simulation environment based on NVIDIA Isaac Sim, Omniverse, and utilizing Digital Twins.
  • Experience with computation optimization using GPU/NPU accelerators and low-latency (Low-latency) system design.
  • Experience building large-scale log data processing pipelines (Data Engineering) and MLOps.
  • Experience developing with ROS2 or equivalent robot middleware and custom platforms.
