The Sales Development Representative (SDR) is responsible for outbound prospecting to generate qualified leads and schedule product demos for the sales team.
Success in this role requires exceptional communication skills, resilience, and a results-oriented mindset to drive a high volume of personalized outreach while maintaining quality.
Must be passionately curious, and driven beyond measure.
Candidates must be located in PST, MST, or CST to ensure better coverage of the time zones where our potential clients are located.
Key Responsibilities
- Initiate personalized outreach through multiple channels (email, calls, LinkedIn).
- Manage daily activity targets, including call and email volumes.
- Identify and segment prospects that match the ICP (Ideal Customer Profile).
- Tailor outreach efforts based on research and segmentation.
- Engage prospects in meaningful conversations to uncover pain points and align solutions, culminating in scheduled demos.
- Ensure handoffs to Account Executives are seamless and well-documented.
- Maintain an organized pipeline in the CRM, tracking engagement and follow-ups.
Required Hard Skills
- Experience with tools like Orum, LinkedIn, Gong, etc.
- Proficient in HubSpot for tracking outreach and reporting metrics.
- Strong written and verbal communication, including crafting compelling outreach emails.
- Analyze outreach metrics to optimize strategies (e.g., email open rates, demo conversion rates).
Required Soft Skills
- Ability to handle rejection and maintain a positive attitude.
- Skilled at establishing trust and building interest through brief interactions.
- Capable of juggling high volumes of activity without sacrificing quality.
- Quick to adjust approaches based on prospect feedback or data insights.
- Love knowing how something impacts a business, and demonstrates curiosity around the depth of that impact.
- Demonstrated ability to work well with others in early stages. The nature of an early stage start-up is very much survival mode, but that cannot negatively impact how you interact with others.
