Objective of the Role
Drive revenue growth by selling ResearchGate Marketing Solutions, owning the full sales cycle from outbound prospecting through close and successful campaign activation.
The Team
Reporting to the VP of Sales, you will join a high-performing, international, and collaborative commercial team focused on connecting researchers with tools and solutions that accelerate scientific progress.

Responsibilities

  • Drive revenue growth by selling ResearchGate Marketing Solutions, owning the full sales cycle from lead generation through close and successful campaign activation.
  • Lead consultative sales engagements to understand customers’ short- and long-term advertising objectives and recommend tailored ResearchGate solutions.
  • Develop proposals and negotiate commercial terms, including pricing, scope of work, and delivery timelines.
  • Prospect, network, and expand relationships within existing and new accounts through structured Account Development Plans.
  • Own relationships with customer stakeholders and decision-makers, while supporting Account Managers in managing day-to-day operational contacts (e.g. Ad Operations).
  • Collaborate closely with Account Managers and internal teams to ensure strong execution, measurable results, and long-term customer success.
  • Requirements

  • 5+ years of B2B sales experience with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding direct revenue quotas.
  • Strong consultative selling skills, including discovery, needs analysis, objection handling, negotiation, and closing.
  • Ability to manage a portfolio of accounts while consistently identifying and developing new revenue opportunities.
  • Comfortable prospecting and managing pipeline using modern sales tools (e.g. Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Salesloft, ZoomInfo or similar).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build credibility with senior stakeholders.
  • Curiosity and genuine interest in customers, science, and technology.
  • Experience selling digital marketing or advertising solutions to enterprise life science, biotech, or pharma companies preferred.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with fluent and idiomatic English.
