Job Summary

We are looking for a Sales Officer with experience in the microfinance sector to help grow our client loan portfolio, expand market reach and attract new customers. The candidate should have a strong understanding of microfinance operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to grow the microfinance loan portfolio in line with company targets.
  • Identify, recruit, and onboard new clients through field visits, community engagements, referrals, and direct marketing.
  • Achieve monthly and quarterly growth targets for customer base and loan disbursements.
  • Promote the company’s financial products and services to individuals, small businesses, and informal groups.
  • Conduct initial client assessments and pre-screening to ensure eligibility and alignment with lending criteria.
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing clients and ensure timely follow-up for loan renewals, repayments, and customer feedback.
  • Provide accurate and timely reports on sales performance, loan applications, client feedback, and market trends.
  • Collaborate with the credit team to ensure high loan quality and minimal default rates.
  • Represent the company in financial literacy events, and business expos to enhance brand visibility.
  • Continuously gather market intelligence and identify new business opportunities.


Qualifications:

  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, Microfinance, or related field.
  • At least 2–3 years of experience in sales within the microfinance or financial services industry.
  • Strong understanding of microfinance products (group lending, individual loans, MSME finance, etc.).
  • Proven track record in customer acquisition, loan portfolio growth, and achieving sales targets.
  • Familiarity with microfinance operations, credit analysis, and financial products.
