Our client in the Information Technology and Services industry is looking for a SAP ABAP Development Consultant to design, develop, and deliver high-quality SAP solutions across enterprise environments. This role requires a hands-on SAP ABAP professional with multiple full lifecycle implementation experiences and expertise in modern SAP technologies, including S/4HANA, CDS Views, SAP Gateway, Fiori Elements, and Adobe Forms. The successful candidate will work closely with technical and functional teams, contribute to key client initiatives, and support the delivery of scalable, Clean Core SAP solutions.

What you will do:

• Design, develop, and implement SAP ABAP solutions using Clean Core development principles.
• Develop and enhance applications utilizing S/4HANA, CDS Views, SAP Gateway, Fiori Elements, and Adobe Forms.
• Deliver SAP technical solutions across all phases of the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with functional and technical teams to define and implement business requirements.
• Support solution delivery at client sites and within project teams.
• Ensure the quality, performance, and maintainability of SAP developments.
• Develop and maintain Function Modules, Data Dictionary objects, BADIs, BAPIs, User Exits, and Web Services.
• Create and optimize reports, forms, interfaces, and integrations.
• Perform performance analysis and tuning of SAP applications and custom developments.
• Support and maintain integrations with SAP and related enterprise systems.
• Execute unit testing and support system integration testing activities.
• Assist end users during user acceptance testing and issue resolution processes.
• Participate in technical knowledge sharing and mentoring activities.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives and technical best practices.
• Maintain compliance with established quality standards, processes, and documentation requirements.
• Support workshops and collaborate with stakeholders across international locations when required.

Qualifications

• Eligibility to obtain Security Clearance (SC), with current SC clearance strongly preferred.
• Ability to meet BPSS clearance requirements.
• Eligibility for SC clearance, including not having been outside the United Kingdom for more than 28 consecutive days within the last five years.
• Proven hands-on experience as a SAP ABAP Consultant across multiple full lifecycle implementations.
• Strong experience with SAP S/4HANA development.
• Experience implementing Clean Core ABAP programming principles.
• Expertise in CDS Views, SAP Gateway, Fiori Elements, and Adobe Forms.
• Experience developing Function Modules, Data Dictionary objects, BADIs, BAPIs, User Exits, and Web Services.
• Experience with ABAP for HANA, reports, forms, interfaces, and performance tuning.
• Familiarity with SAP PO/PI integrations is advantageous.
• Strong client-facing consulting and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working collaboratively with clients and third-party suppliers.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Willingness and ability to travel within the United Kingdom and internationally as required.
