Senior Automation & Electrical Design Engineer (f/m)

We are looking for an experienced Automation Professional with a broad skill set covering electrical design, automation systems, and commissioning. This role is ideal for a senior expert who can take ownership across the full lifecycle of industrial automation solutions - from design to implementation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop industrial electrical and automation systems

• Create electrical designs, schematics, and documentation using industry tools

• Program and configure PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems

• Select and dimension electrical components, drives, and instrumentation

• Ensure compliance with machinery safety standards and regulations

• Work with industrial communication systems and integrate automation architectures

• Participate in testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of systems

• Act as a senior specialist supporting projects and technical decisions

Your Profile

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or Information Technology

• Extensive experience in industrial electrical and automation engineering

• Strong knowledge of machinery safety standards and requirements

• Proven experience in electrical design tools such as AutoCAD, Eplan, Cadmatic, E3, or equivalent

• Solid expertise in PLC programming (e.g. Siemens, Omron, Beckhoff, Schneider, Allen-Bradley, Honeywell, Valmet DNA)

• Experience with SCADA/HMI systems (e.g. TIA Portal, WinCC, InTouch, System Platform)

• Familiarity with industrial fieldbuses (e.g. Profinet, Profibus)

• Hands-on experience with industrial drives and motion systems (ABB, Siemens, Vacon), including commissioning

• Experience with safety PLCs is required

• Ability to select and dimension cabling, protections, and instrumentation

• Experience in system commissioning and troubleshooting

Additional Advantages

• Experience with high-voltage systems (>1000 V)

• Familiarity with advanced tools such as Vitec Alma or similar

• Broad understanding of end-to-end automation project delivery
