About the Role

Nevell Group, Inc. is seeking an experiencedSenior Design/BIM Coordinatorto join ourBuilding Information Modeling (BIM) Departmentin NorCal Team.

This role is responsible for coordinating the development and management of digital project models while supporting the Design/BIM Manager in identifying potential obstacles and ensuring projects are constructible. The Senior Design/BIM Coordinator plays a key role in project coordination, cross-functional communication, and mentoring BIM staff. Successful candidates will demonstrate strong technical expertise in BIM modeling, leadership capabilities, and a collaborative mindset that supports NGi’s project teams and company goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and manageRevit project setups, including templates, families, parameters, and workflow documentation
  • Develop and manageBIM models for wall system projects, includingMetal Wall Framing (MWF)templates and viewpoints
  • UtilizeNavisworksto set up and run clash detection, navigate models, and identify coordination issues
  • UseBluebeamto review construction documents and support project coordination
  • Support and assistBIM Coordinators and Draftsmenwith model modifications and troubleshooting
  • RepresentNGi at BIM coordination meetingswith project teams and external partners
  • Maintain and updatemonthly project schedule listsfor the management team
  • Updatestaff meeting worksheetsprior to bi-weekly department meetings
  • Review and interpretarchitectural, structural, and engineering design documentsfor each project
  • Collaborate withProject Engineers (PEs) and Project Managers (PMs)to identify and resolve design and coordination issues
  • Resolve escalated or complex modeling challenges requiring advanced BIM expertise
  • Work as part of aBIM/CAD support teamto ensure consistent modeling standards and workflows
  • Providementorship, coaching, and over-the-shoulder trainingto BIM staff
  • Support training initiatives and professional development within the BIM department
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Design or a related field preferred, or
  • Eight (8) years of equivalent BIM, CAD, or construction modeling experience

Technical Skills & Software

Minimumeight (8) years of exposureto the following software is preferred:

  • Revit Architecture– including families, templates, and parameters
  • Navisworks Manage– clash detection and model coordination
  • AutoCAD / AutoCAD Architecture
  • Bluebeam
  • Microsoft Office Suite(Word, Excel, Outlook)

Qualifications & Attributes

  • Advanced understanding of structural and framing concepts related to NGi’s wall systems
  • Experience supporting multiple BIM/CAD roles within a department
  • Knowledge of construction processes and procedures
  • Strong project and time management abilities
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Positive attitude with a passion for supporting, mentoring, and developing team members
  • Ability to uphold company standards and escalate issues appropriately
  • Professional judgment aligned with NGi infrastructure and modeling standards
