Qualifications

Understanding of API design & consumption (REST, JSON, OpenAPI/Swagger);

HTTP semantics (status codes, headers, idempotency);

Working with API gateways (Apigee / IBM API Connect / similar);

Client credentials, rate limiting, API products;

Northbound / Southbound API separation;

Integrating APIs with legacy backends (EAI, ESB, SOAP → REST);

Handling partial failures and backend inconsistencies;

Mapping / transformation between schemas;

Cross‑market integrations (single API → many markets);

CAMARA / GSMA Open Gateway concepts (high level);

Working across different markets (RO, PT, ES, etc.);

Dealing with vendor‑specific quirks behind a common API;

OAuth2 / Client Credentials;

mTLS, secrets handling;

Cloud‑native Basics;

Containers & Kubernetes (at least integration‑level understanding);

Staying on recurring and ad‑hoc calls with product owners, network teams, API providers, security and consuming platforms;

Clarifying API contracts, payload structures, error handling and edge cases in live discussions;

Aligning expectations between API producers and consumers;

Ensuring all parties have a shared understanding of responsibilities and ownership;
