Job Overview:
Netradyne is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior L1 IT Service Desk Engineer to lead frontline technical support while managing complex infrastructure-related incidents. This role bridges L1 support and L2 expertise, requiring someone with deep technical knowledge of cloud platforms, networking, and system administration. You will serve as the primary point of contact for challenging technical issues, independently resolving complex problems that would need expertise within L1 team, while mentoring junior support staff. This position is ideal for an advanced technologist who prefers hands-on technical troubleshooting and support delivery over strategic infrastructure planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert-level technical support for end-user and infrastructure-related incidents with rapid resolution and minimal escalation.
- Independently troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to Windows/Linux/Mac OS, Microsoft 365, Azure AD, SharePoint, Exchange, and network connectivity.
- Administer and support Azure and AWS cloud environments, including virtual machines, identity services, and network security groups.
- Monitor network and infrastructure performance using tools such as Meraki, SolarWinds, and AI-powered analytics platforms.
- Maintain and troubleshoot advanced network devices including firewalls, switches, routers, WAPs, and VPNs (Cisco AnyConnect, OpenVPN, Palo Alto Networks).
- Perform routine maintenance, patch management, and security updates on servers and infrastructure systems.
- Manage user access, permissions, and security policies across Active Directory, Azure AD, and cloud environments.
- Utilize AI-powered support tools, monitoring systems, and automation to enhance efficiency and predict infrastructure issues.
- Coordinate with third-party vendors for hardware/software support, procurement, and complex technical troubleshooting.
- Document processes, solutions, and infrastructure insights in knowledge management and asset management systems.
- Assist in backup management, disaster recovery planning, and basic compliance/audit tasks.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior support staff and L1 engineers on complex troubleshooting and best practices.
Mandatory Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure, support, or operations roles with proven troubleshooting expertise.
- Advanced understanding of Windows Server, Active Directory, Office 365, and Azure AD administration.
- Solid hands-on experience with Azure and AWS cloud platforms, including VM management, networking, and identity services.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols and devices: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, Cisco, Meraki, firewalls, and VPN technologies.
- Working knowledge of Mac, Linux, and Windows operating systems in multi-platform environments.
- Experience with ITSM tools (Jira Service Management, ServiceNow) and understanding of ticket lifecycle and SLA management.
- Experience with device management tools like Intune, endpoint central, Jamf or equivalent MDM solutions.
- Practical experience with AI-powered monitoring, analytics tools, and automation platforms.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
Preferred Skills:
- Basic scripting knowledge (PowerShell, Bash, or Python) for automation and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge on Azure logic apps, Power Automate, Zoho Analytics, Tableau or Power BI
- Advanced monitoring tools: SolarWinds, Datadog, PagerDuty, etc.
- Basic knowledge related to ISMS, ISO 27001, SOC 2, HIPAA compliance.
- Hands-on experience with remote support tools, end user support and advanced asset management platforms.
- Relevant certifications: MCSA, Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) or higher, CCNA, ITIL Foundation, or AWS certifications.
- Any relevant certification like MCSA, Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900), etc would be an added advantage
- Knowledge on AI tools such as Claude, MS Copilot, Github Copilot, Cursor would be additional benefit
