Senior Java Developer

We are currently looking for a Senior Java Developer to join our team in Stockholm. In this role, you will be part of delivering modern, scalable, and high-performing backend solutions for client projects in complex enterprise environments.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including architects, product owners, QA engineers, and fellow developers, to design, build, and maintain robust Java-based applications. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and contributing to high-quality software delivery in agile environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend solutions using Java

• Build and enhance REST APIs and microservices for enterprise-level applications
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver technical solutions
• Participate in architecture and technical design discussions
• Ensure high code quality through testing, code reviews, and development best practices
• Troubleshoot, optimize, and improve application performance and reliability
• Contribute to Agile ceremonies and work closely with stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience in Java development
• Solid experience with Spring Boot
• Experience building REST APIs and microservices
• Strong experience with Java frameworks for persistence, messaging, and queueing in both legacy and cloud-based environments
• Experience working with relational and non-relational databases, as well as data lake technologies
• Experience working in Agile environments
• Strong problem-solving skills and a structured approach to work

Nice to have:

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Experience working in complex enterprise or client-facing environments
