AI Summary
A Senior Research Associate performs routine analytical testing and supports process development and characterization for CAR-T manufacturing, with a focus on molecular assays such as ddPCR/qPCR.
About this role
BrainChild Bio Analytical Development team is seeking to hire a Senior Research Associate to add to our growing team. The Senior Research Associate will participate in routine analytical testing to enable process development and process characterization of early- to late-stage CAR-T manufacturing processes.
The ideal candidate will have experience in molecular biology techniques, particularly droplet digital PCR (ddPCR), and an interest in supporting assay development, qualification, and routine testing. They should be eager to learn new technologies and methodologies, be a problem solver, and work effectively across Analytical Development and Process Development teams to analyze samples and transfer methods. The candidate will also participate in ELN and SOP authoring.
Responsibilities:
· Work collaboratively with internal Process Development and Analytical Development teams.
· Assist with experimental execution in support of molecular assay development and qualification, including ddPCR/qPCR-based methods.
· Perform routine molecular analytics (e.g., ddPCR) and provide data in a timely manner to support process studies.
· Support development and execution of lentiviral vector characterization assays for process development and process characterization activities.
· Author ELNs, methods, reports and SOPs.
Qualifications:
· BA/BS in biochemistry, molecular biology, biology, microbiology or related discipline.
· 2–5 years of industry experience in a life sciences laboratory.
· Proficiency with life science data acquisition and analysis tools (Excel, Prism) and ELNs desired.
· Previous experience with molecular biology techniques (ddPCR/qPCR) and nucleic acid handling is highly desired.
· Experience supporting assay development, qualification and/or troubleshooting is a plus.
· A team player with a track record of successfully operating within cross-functional teams.
