Senior Software Engineer

Salary range: Rs 2200000 - Rs 2700000 (ie INR 22-27 LPA)

As the senior engineer on the tech team, you will primarily manage and lead technical projects independently. You will report to the technical lead, who oversees the module(s), and serve as their reliable and trusted senior developer.

Required Experience and Skills

● 4-6 years of experience in software development.

● Naturally a problem solver with a data-driven approach to decision making.

● Proficient in building systems using Java, MySQL, SQS/Kafka, Redis, and Spring Boot.

● Skilled in designing and implementing RESTful web services.

● Familiarity with Angular or ReactJS is advantageous.

● Experience developing ERP software products and a solid understanding of cloud infrastructure.

● Background in enterprise SaaS is a plus.

● Demonstrated ability to deliver at least two end-to-end live projects with measurable impact.

● Effective communication skills to articulate concerns and blockers clearly in a remote work setting.

● Educational qualifications are not a primary concern, as long as you can meet the job requirements outlined below.

Job Description

● Independently manage projects with minimal supervision, utilizing the skills listed above and acquiring any additional knowledge as needed.

● Analyze product requirements to develop both short-term and long-term solutions.

● Create and present design proposals and project plans to management.

● Produce high-level and detailed design documents, including impact assessments and task breakdowns.

● Mentor junior engineers by reviewing their code and assisting with technical challenges.

● Diagnose and resolve production issues efficiently.

● Conduct root cause analyses on system failures and process gaps.

● Monitor system performance and optimize for peak efficiency.

● Escalate blockers or concerns related to projects and systems when needed.

● Ensure robust integration of your system modules with external service providers, implementing retry logic, rate limiting, and fault tolerance.

● Collaborate constructively with stakeholders to prioritize bug fixes, feature development, and support tasks to keep the business moving forward.

● Assist in recruiting by participating in interviews for junior engineer positions.

● Participate in the on-call rotation to promptly address and resolve issues affecting business operations.
