You will be comfortable in the following areas:
- Providing solutions to customers based on their needs
- Solving technical problems efficiently and effectively
- Leading on core network and or server upgrade projects
- Communicating with clients of all kinds and people at all organisational levels
- Discussing solutions, strategy, methodology and security
- Keeping accurate records for time and billing
- Ensuring accurate solution documentation
- Providing technical coaching to junior team members and mentoring their development
- Continually growing your technical knowledge through industry-recognised certifications
Essential job requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar senior engineering role
- Ability to solve challenging technical problems
- Uncompromising desire to assist customers
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proven initiative, and the ability to work without supervision
- A current, Full New Zealand Driver’s License
Highly desirable job requirements
Experience in some of the following areas is preferred, although we understand you may not have them all:
- Expert knowledge in switching and routing, wireless networks and firewalls
- Knowledge of infrastructure solutions
- Knowledge of cloud services (Google Workspace, Microsoft 365), hybrid environments and cloud migration concepts
- Knowledge in Highly Virtual Environments (Hyper-V, Vmware)
- Industry recognised IT qualifications: A+ N+ CCNA MCSA MSCE
- Aruba Switching or Wireless certifications or similar
- Microsoft industry certifications (Azure, O365, Server)
