AMT is growing and is seeking a highly motivated Project Manager / Senior Water Resources Engineer with 7+ years of relevant experience, to join our growing team of design professionals in our Towson, MD Office. The right candidate would lead water resources engineering tasks for transportation-related projects for Virginia and Maryland DOT and municipalities. Responsibilities

  • Completion of calculations, reports and plans in support of transportation projects including stormwater management, storm drainage systems, culverts, open channels, bridge hydraulics and erosion and sediment control.
  • Perform Hydrologic and Hydraulic analysis and reporting.
  • Obtain permit approvals from state and local agencies.
  • Assist in the preparation of engineering documents (plans, reports, cost estimates and specifications) for Advertisement and Construction.
  • Meet and work directly with clients and public agency officials.
  • Work in collaboration with a Transportation design team comprised of other disciplines and support staff on multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Provide QA/QC review following AMT and client-based procedures.
  • Required Qualifications

  • BS in Civil Engineering with emphasis in Water Resources.
  • Minimum of 7 years of water resources related experience including plan and report production.
  • Hydrology and hydraulic modeling experience (storm drainage, SWM, floodplain, bridge) with commonly used software.
  • Maryland or Virginia Professional Engineer license required. North Carolina-licensed Professional Engineer Preferred South Carolina PE Preferred.
  • CADD experience with MicroStation/OpenRoads required.
  • Excellent organizational, coordination and communication skills, both written and verbal.
