**OVERVIEW **:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Settlements Officer to join a high-performing team known for its commitment to professional excellence and client-centric service. In this critical role, you will act as the final bridge between loan approval and successful funding, ensuring that every client’s journey to property ownership or refinancing is seamless, transparent, and efficient.
**RESPONSIBILITIES **:
- **End-to-End Settlement Management **: Coordinate the final stages of the loan process from unconditional approval through to settlement and post-settlement filing.
- **Lender & Solicitor Liaison **: Act as the primary point of contact for banks, solicitors, and conveyancers to ensure all documentation is executed correctly and deadlines are met.
- **Compliance & Data Integrity **: Meticulously review loan offers and mortgage documents for accuracy, ensuring full compliance with Australian lending regulations and internal quality standards.
- **Client Communication **: Provide regular, proactive updates to clients, keeping them informed of their settlement status and addressing any concerns with empathy and clarity.
- **Problem Resolution **: Identify and resolve potential bottlenecks in the settlement process, such as missing documentation or funding discrepancies, to prevent delays.
- **Pipeline Tracking **: Maintain an organized and up-to-date CRM database, tracking all active applications and ensuring no "Great Australian Dream" is held up by administrative hurdles.
- **Post-Settlement Support **: Manage the "thank you" process and ensure all post-settlement compliance requirements and commission tracking are completed.
Requirements
**QUALIFICATIONS **:
- **Industry Experience **: A minimum of 2+ years of experience in a settlements or loan processing role within the Australian Mortgage industry is essential.
- **Technical Knowledge **: Comprehensive understanding of the Australian mortgage lifecycle, including PEXA, Lenders’ portals, and various loan structures (First Home Buyers, Construction, SMSF, and Refinancing).
