Job details

  • Teach Social Studies-related subjects to high school students, including areas such as American Government, Economics, Psychology, Sociology, History, and Geography
  • Prepare lesson plans and deliver engaging lessons aligned with American curriculum standards
  • Use a range of teaching methods and resources to support different learning needs
  • Assess students’ progress, grade assignments, and provide clear feedback to students and parents
  • Support students who need additional help and provide extension activities for higher-achieving learners
  • Prepare students for tests, exams, presentations, projects, and other assessments
  • Build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Attend staff meetings, parent meetings, workshops, and other school activities as required
  • Supervise students during classes, school events, and field trips
  • Monitor students’ wellbeing and work with the school counselor or relevant staff when needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in a relevant subject area
  • Valid teaching license or certification
  • Minimum 3 years of classroom teaching experience, preferably at middle or high school level
  • Experience with US Common Core or an American curriculum preferred
  • AP teaching experience or certification preferred
