What is Software Development Engineer - Teknosys?

As a Software Development Engineer at Teknosys, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting applications that power critical business services. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver new capabilities, troubleshoot production issues, and enhance the reliability, performance, and scalability of applications across cloud and on-premise environments.

What does Software Development Engineer - Teknosys do?

Development Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Spring Boot or Node.js or .NET frameworks.\Debug, optimize, and enhance application performance while resolving software defects.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and integrate third-party systems and services.
• Database Management: Work with MySQL or PostgreSQL or MSSQL or and other databases to ensure efficient data storage, retrieval, and performance optimization.
• Collaborate with frontend teams using Flutter, React, or Angular to deliver seamless end-to-end solutions.

Support & Operations Responsibilities

• Collaborate with DevOps and operations teams to troubleshoot and resolve application-related production issues in accordance with agreed service levels.
• Provide application-level expertise during critical incidents, major outages, deployments, and planned maintenance activities. Participate in roster-based or off-hours support arrangements, including weekends, when required by business needs.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions to minimize the recurrence of issues.
• Support application deployments, patches, upgrades, and release activities in partnership with DevOps and operations teams.
• Improve application reliability and observability through effective logging, monitoring, health checks, and performance analysis.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, troubleshooting guides, and operational runbooks to facilitate knowledge sharing and efficient issue resolution.
• Drive continuous improvement through automation and process optimization to enhance system reliability, scalability, and maintainability.
• Exposure to AI-assisted development, intelligent monitoring, automated testing, and DevSecOps practices is considered an advantage.

Requirements

What are we looking for and what does it require to be Software Development Engineer - Teknosys?

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in software development and application support.
• Hands-on experience with Node.js, Spring Boot, or .NET frameworks, including debugging, performance optimization, and API development.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as ELK Stack, Nagios, Zabbix, or Datadog.
• Familiarity with Linux and Windows environments.
• Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and private or hybrid cloud environments.
• Strong hands-on experience in designing, developing, troubleshooting, and debugging applications built using Node.js, Spring Boot, or .NET frameworks.
• Knowledge of frontend technologies such as Flutter, React, or Angular is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues in production environments.
• Experience with log analysis, monitoring, and observability tools.
• Understanding of cloud, hybrid cloud, and on-premise architectures.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills with development, DevOps, and operations teams.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform effectively in high-pressure environments.
