Software Engineer Zagreb | Hybrid
F24 is Europe's leading crisis management SaaS platform, trusted by governments, airlines, banks, and Fortune 500s in over 100 countries. When a major incident unfolds, our software is the system people rely on. Our Zagreb Tech Centre is already up and running. Wave 1 of our engineering team is in place, and we're now expanding into Wave 2, bringing in more senior engineers to accelerate the work already underway.

The Services team is the result of merging two established backend teams into one — responsible for roughly 10 shared services that run across every F24 product. We're talking high-performance event logging, billing, unified data object storage, single sign-on, user services, asset services, and more. These aren't isolated features; they're the foundational layer that every product in the portfolio depends on.

The work is technically meaty: horizontally scalable microservices, event-driven architecture with Kafka and RabbitMQ, multi-database design with a real focus on query performance, and streaming services built for scale. You'll also be working directly alongside F24's AI engineers on RAG pipelines, MCP servers, and LLM streaming integrations — making this a genuinely modern Python environment.

What You'll Bring:
✔️ Strong Python backend experience, ideally with FastAPI and async patterns
✔️ A background working in product SaaS environments at scale
✔️ Familiarity with distributed systems, message brokers, and cloud-native practices
✔️ Hands-on exposure to AI tools or ML integration
✔️ A collaborative mindset and a desire to solve complex technical challenges
