Software Engineer - Level 02 - FULLY CLEARED with POLYGRAPH REQUIRED

Must be a US Citizen.

Must have TS/SCI clearance w/ active polygraph (last polygraph must be within the last five (05) years)

Candidate would be expected to be “On call” to support system operations.

Must have fourteen (14) years' experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline (i.e. Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, etc.) from an accredited college or university is required.

Four (04) years of additional relevant experience on projects with similar processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.

Develops, maintains, and enhances complex and diverse software systems (e.g., processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real-time systems, and business management information systems) based upon documented requirements.

Works individually or as part of a team.

Reviews and tests software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results.

Resolves software problem reports.

Utilizes software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment.

Provides specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS)/Government Off-the-shelf (GOTS) in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components.

Experience software development tools such as Git, Kira, Confluence and other Atlassian Products

Experience with Linux Command Line

Experience with Java or similar programming language

Understanding of Container Technologies such as Docker

Understanding of web development and APIs

Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve

Ability to learn new software and technologies related to backend or frontend development

Experience with Spring Boot

Experience with JavaScript, ReactJS specifically

Experience with Apache Kafka

Experience with Apache Nifi

Understanding of Docker/Docker Compose

Experience with build tools, such as Maven

Experience with SQL databases

• CI/CD Tools: Familiarity with continuous integration frameworks such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
• Infrastructure Tools: Experience with IaC tools like Terraform or Ansible.
• Container Platforms: Working knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Cloud Experience: Proficiency with major cloud service providers (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
