Key Responsibilities
Stackers get our packaged product ready for our customers by putting together cases and pallets. Stackers must be safety-minded, have good attention to detail and must be able to lift up to 50lbs continuously.
Essential Functions:
Essential Functions:
- Packs the correct product and number of bagged products into boxes according to customer orders for shipment.
- Constructs boxes or containers.
- Stacks finished boxes onto pallets safely and efficiently.
- Places month sticker and product production tag on each pallet.
- Ensures supplies are readily available for the Packaging Machine Operator.
- Completes required paperwork such as pallet tags.
- Transports needed packaging materials to the production area.
- Breaks up unusable packaged product when required.
- Maintains a clean and orderly work area.
- During downtime, ensure the cleanliness of the work area and/or assist other machine operators.
- Assists machine operator with loading packaging material onto machine.
- Complies with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Safe Quality Food (SQF) procedures including timely and accurate documentation of required SQF forms and safety policies.
- Performs other duties as assigned by management.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
EDUCATION AND FORMAL TRAINING:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:
- Ability to follow directions
- Experience and ability to work in a fast-paced, labor intensive manufacturing environment
- Ability to perform basic math skills
- Effectively communicate questions, problems, and reports to co-workers, supervisory, and management personnel
- Flexibility to accommodate unscheduled changes in duties and work overtime as needed
- Display a positive attitude and work well with all levels of personnel
