The Staff Accountant supports the accuracy and integrity of Summit's financial operations through month-end close activities, reconciliations, financial analysis, and day-to-day accounting support. This role works closely with Finance and cross-functional partners to maintain reliable financial records and support informed business decisions.

What You’ll Do:

·Prepare journal entries and support monthly close activities.

·Perform general ledger analysis and account reconciliations.

·Complete daily bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.

·Support balance sheet reconciliations and financial reporting activities.

·Assist with commission reviews in partnership with Sales Operations and People Operations.

·Maintain fixed asset records, depreciation schedules, and related reporting.

·Provide backup support for accounts payable processes.

·Manage accounting-related credit card activity and documentation.

·Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and controls.

·Support special projects and other accounting initiatives as needed.

Bonus Points:

·Bachelor's degree in Accounting.

·1-3 years of accounting experience.

·Experience with NetSuite, QuickBooks, Sage, or similar accounting platforms.

·Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles.

·Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

·Experience supporting accounting functions in a technology or professional services environment.
