The Standardisation Manager is responsible for managing the standardisation initiative within the PDMO department which includes managing the library of preferred design standards, construction details and specifications as well as coordinating the standardised house types, ensuring knowledge sharing principles and lessons learnt between the consultants and site teams are being adhered to.
Requirements
Key responsibilities and duties
Specifications Management:
- Maintain and control the Glenveagh library of specifications, material schedules and performance standards.
- Ensure finishes schedules are issued for each project in a timely fashion and in line with planning, GV standard products and any particular requirements of housing bodies associated with particular schemes.
- Ensure specifications align with current industry standards, regulatory requirements and organisational quality benchmarks.
- Manage version control and distribution of specification documents, ensuring all project teams are working from current, approved revisions.
Standardisation:
- Maintain and control the Glenveagh library of standardised designs. Ensure any changes are captured and updated across all disciplines.
- Liaise with design teams, engineers, construction managers and procurement to ensure all are up to date with the latest standards.
- Act as a point of reference and guidance for project teams on queries and standards application.
- Support design reviews where necessary to ensure each project is adopting the most up to date design.
