About this role

CMC Development & Construction is a general contracting firm with an uncompromising commitment to disciplined execution, safety, integrity, and the people who power our projects. We don't just build structures — we build careers, client trust, and lasting community impact. As we pursue our vision of becoming the premier general contractor in the United States, we are actively investing in the field leadership that makes exceptional projects possible. If you are a seasoned Superintendent who leads with accountability, takes pride in running clean and safe job sites, and wants to grow with a company that backs its field leaders — we want to hear from you.

Position Overview

The Construction Superintendent is the senior field leadership presence on CMC projects, responsible for ensuring that all field operations are executed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and client satisfaction. This role is the primary point of accountability for everything that happens on the job site — from the first shovel in the ground to final punch and owner acceptance.

The Superintendent manages and coordinates all trade contractors, enforces CMC's safety culture, maintains project momentum, and serves as CMC's most visible representative to owners, inspectors, trade partners, and the surrounding community. This is a role for a proven field leader, someone who commands respect, solves problems decisively, and holds the line on quality and safety without exception.

  • Anticipate problems before they become delays — proactively identify risks and drive solutions in the field

Quality Control & Compliance

  • Inspect work in place for compliance with design standards, contract documents, and CMC's quality expectations
  • Identify deficiencies and ensure corrective action is taken promptly; document all quality issues and resolutions
  • Review and enforce contractor Quality Plans; hold subcontractors accountable to the standards they committed to
  • Review vendor drawings, submittals, and RFIs with the project team to ensure field compliance with the approved document set
  • Review construction details with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to confirm all work aligns with the design intent

Documentation & Reporting

  • Prepare and distribute clear, accurate daily field reports documenting site conditions, manpower, weather, progress, and issues
  • Maintain organized on-site records including safety logs, inspection reports, subcontractor coordination notes, and photo documentation
  • Communicate project status, risks, and field issues to the Project Manager and leadership team in a timely and professional manner
