At Myra, we develop and operate a certified Security-as-a-Service platform designed to protect digital business processes. Our technology monitors, analyzes, and filters malicious internet traffic before cyberattacks can cause actual damage.

As a Team Manager Software Engineering at Myra, you remain an integral part of the development community - you ship code alongside your team - while also taking care of the members who make that team work. Think of it as a developing manager: hands on the keyboard, hands on the team.

You’ll help your team build technically excellent solutions for complex problems as we migrate from a legacy monolith toward a modern, modular architecture. The technical leadership and the human leadership are not separate jobs here; they’re one and the same.

We use AI heavily across our entire engineering workflow. AI proficiency is not a “nice to have” - it’s core to how we build, and core to this role.

Your Responsibilities

People (because you genuinely care for your team)

• You are the go-to person for your experienced team members: 1:1s, feedback and development conversations, vacation and budget planning, conflict resolution, and performance management.
• You translate direction from leadership into clear, actionable context for the team, and you make sure they’re heard upward, too.
• You ensure your team is supported, unblocked, and growing. This is a meaningful part of the role, not an afterthought.

Engineering (because you still love writing code)

• You design and implement state-of-the-art code, hands-on, as part of the team - this role moves towards the team, not away from it.
• You design, validate, and advocate frontend and backend architecture for your verticals, from idea to go-live, and drive technical discussions and decisions with the team.
• You champion AI-assisted development practices and help your team get the most out of our AI tooling.
• You work toward continuous delivery and continuously improve our development processes and solutions through your own hands-on input.
• As part of the Product Team, you participate in ideation, discovery, and reviews of both solution designs and the code itself.

You’ll work in an international, cross-functional team (Myra Cloud, CMS, Data Hub, or CRM) of software and QA engineers, focused on solving real problems for our customers.

Your Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on web development experience (JavaScript, PHP, HTML, CSS) and you still love writing code.
• 3+ years with React, TypeScript, GraphQL.
• Experience with Node.js / Nest.js is a plus.
• Strong AI proficiency: you actively use AI tools in your daily development work and are eager to push how far they can take a team.
• You’re an empathetic leader who sees caring for people and writing great software as two sides of the same role, ideally with some experience leading, coaching, or mentoring engineers.
• Curiosity and drive: you validate ideas hands-on through POCs and RFCs, and you learn fast.
• An analytical, problem-solving mindset.
• Agile methods and structured requirements feel natural to you and you prefer working this way.
• You give and receive open, constructive feedback clearly and respectfully.
• You’re first to jump into action when the team needs you.
• You can provide direction in a way that motivates, empowers, and encourages.
• Fluent English, spoken and written.
• Ideally located in or near Munich.
