Job Purpose :

 

As a Technical Supporter, you are primarily supporting Metro/Public Railway customers, responding to technical support requests of our customers based a target-oriented, quality and cost-conscious way of working.

 

Main Responsibilities:

 

  • Act as the primary technical contact to our local Metro/Public Railway customers field service, maintenance and technical operations contacts. Represent our company effectively by developing comprehensive knowledge of its technical offerings.
  • Ensure close customer contact, arrange regular customer visits and communication.
  • Meet defined quality and customer satisfaction targets following company procedures and protocols.
  • Identify & understand customer needs and offer recommendations for the sales team to turn into potential sales leads based on customer experiences and demands.
  • Build up solid knowledge of Wabtec products in regular use on the domestic market and maintenance services to ensure constant high level of customer satisfaction with Wabtec brands, products and services.
  • Work with Wabtec Field Services department contacts and SISCO Engineering Teams to identify solutions for local Customer technical issues, claims and support technical Customer requests. Prepare and execute solution/product presentations to Customers focusing on technical solutions, Wabtec innovations and Customer satisfaction.
  • Support the local Sales Team as needed when preparing Customer offers following Wabtec technical guidelines, utilizing available Wabtec tools and product information.
  • Plan and execute regular Customer visits to track Wabtec products/systems use, Customer satisfaction with Wabtec products/systems, technical requests and share collected information with local Sales Team and Management.
  • Constantly maintain documents including up-to-date technical information about Customer platforms and Wabtec product/competitor product details. Share document contents in regular meetings with the local Sales Team and Management.
  • Based on your cultivated Customer technical knowledge, support the Sales Team in the planning of annual Customer order/demand forecasts.
  • Support the planning and conduct of domestic specialist events and participate in such.
  • Resolve technical Customer disputes or warranty claims.
  • Conduct or lead product repairs and overhaul services for Customers tying workflow to schedule and create detailed service reports.

 

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electro-mechanical engineering studies.
  • + 5 years of experience in product engineering, systems maintenance services, technical support, technical project management or engineering of technical sophisticated products.
  • Technical knowledge (Railway platforms and systems) and active learning skills to regularly update and extend know-how.
  • Strong customer orientation, ability to take ownership of work and deadlines and self-driven problem-solving attitude.
  • Good team player.
  • Proficiency or native Turkish.
  • Foreign languages: good written and spoken English compulsory.
  • Secure handling of MS-Office products and ERP applications.
  • No military service obligation
  • B-Level Driver License
  • Flexible for regular intracity/intercity travelling, to spend up to 50% of monthly work time on-site with Customers.
