The Technology Ecosystems Manager focuses on developing a growing and vibrant ecosystem of participant technology providers through partnerships and relationships with companies that have complimentary solutions to Inductive Automation’s technology portfolio. This role will manage the organization’s strategic partner and technology ecosystem programs, fostering and nurturing relationships with third-party providers to develop and support joint solutions. This is a full-time position. Remote work options are available, however hybrid work is preferred for this role.
Responsibilities
Owning the relationship strategy and management for high-value technology providers, ensuring deep strategic alignment with company goals
Leading the end-to-end design, launch, and execution of high-impact ecosystem programs
Proactively identifying and leading complex, multi-party initiatives that connect technology partners with other ecosystem areas (Community, Marketing, etc.) to create enterprise-scale value
Defining and implements the organizational standards for alliance relationship quality, performance reporting, and engagement models used across the division
Developing and managing advanced performance reporting and influenced pipeline analysis to provide actionable insights for executive leadership
Maintaining expert-level management of the CRM for relationship tracking and uses Asana to drive portfolio-level program strategy and execution
Driving critical alignment between technology alliances and internal teams, including Sales, Marketing, Product Management, and Sales Engineering
Providing high-level mentorship and guidance to Alliance Associates and junior team members, acting as the internal authority for the technology ecosystems vertical
Proactively identifying and implementing process improvements to increase the efficiency of alliance operations and tech provider recruitment
Conducting technical discovery and rigorous vetting of third-party providers to translate complex partner roadmaps into scalable "Joint Value Propositions" for the Ignition community
Representing the company as a professional authority and thought leader at trade shows, conferences, and industry events
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field OR 7 years of work experience in a similar role or field
Management Leadership experience (2 -3 years)
Deep understanding of the Purdue Model (Levels 0-5) and how third-party technology (Cloud, Edge, Hardware) integrates into a standard industrial network
Functional knowledge of industrial communication protocols, specifically MQTT (Sparkplug B), OPC UA, Modbus, and BACnet, to evaluate the technical viability of a partner’s joint solution
Understanding of Docker, containers, and Edge computing hardware as it relates to deploying software in a distributed industrial environment
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Superior customer relationship management skills
An analytical mind and problem-solving skills
Strong project management skills
Excellent attention to detail
Comfortable with occasional travel
Additional Skills (Not Required, But Are Preferred)
Familiarity with the industrial automation, manufacturing, or industrial software industry.
Certified in Ignition
Experience with alliance management platforms, CRM systems, and project management tools such as Asana
Experience effectively using AI-driven tools to improve alliance program planning or execution workflows
