About this role

Ready to make connectivity from space universally accessible, secure and actionable? Then you’ve come to the right place!
E-Space is bridging Earth and space to enable hyper-scaled deployments of space-powered Internet of Things (IoT) solutions and services. We are fundamentally changing the design, economics, manufacturing, coverage limitations and service delivery associated with traditional satellite and terrestrial IoT systems.
By building a highly-advanced low Earth orbit (LEO) space system—with a unique antenna design, highly sustainable spacecraft system and low-cost, small portable end-user devices—we can extend global satellite coverage, capacity and connectivity beyond legacy space services to provide a new kind of IoT platform that lets users sense, track, connect and act on information gathered, anywhere.
We’re intentional, we’re unapologetically curious and we’re 100% committed to saving space, protecting our planet and turning connectivity into actionable intelligence.

Overview

We are looking for a hands-on engineer to build and operate the test infrastructure that validates our spacecraft cutting-edge communication technologies. What matters is that you know how to handle and test critical hardware rigorously, write clean modular Python software, relying on standard git-based configuration workflows as a daily reflex.

What you will do:

  • PCBA design verification testing and system integration testing: test requirements, test plans, assembly, validation, test automation, operation of test equipment and results documentation.

  • Build and own test stations. Design, wire, code, and keep them running.

  • Write the Python code that runs the benches. Automated test scripts, data acquisition, processing pipelines, reporting tools — all versioned in Git, structured to be shared with and used by other engineers.

  • Run formal test campaigns. From component-level validation to subsystem acceptance, including occasional flight hardware (mostly EM/EQM units).

  • Document results, feed performance models, support design reviews.

  • Incoming inspection, first article checks, board-level debug with oscilloscope, logic analyzer, multimeter, and power supplies.

  • Participate in AIT campaigns, including environmental testing.

What you bring:

  • Bsc + 5, Msc + 3 in Electrical Engineering.

  • Proficiency in Root Cause Analysis and Gauge RR.

  • Strong Python proficiency. Structured, maintainable code. Git as a daily workflow.

  • Comfortable handling sensitive hardware: ESD protocols, clean room practices, careful documentation.

  • Hands-on experience with lab instruments: oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters, power supplies, signal generators.

  • Experience building and operating test jigs using Raspberry Pi, Arduino, or similar embedded platforms.

  • Organized and proactive problem solver who thrives in a hands-on, fast-paced startup environment.

Bonus points:

  • Experience with spacecrafts and environmental testing (radiation, thermal, vacuum, vibration, EMC).

  • Familiarity with common embedded communication interfaces: SPI, I²C, UART, CAN, RS-422/485.

  • Exposure to CI/CD, configuration management, or test framework design (pytest, etc.).

  • Hands-on experience in PCB Design.
