This role partners with the Group Transformation Director and in turn into Group Executive, C‑suite and operational leaders to balance priorities, shape the best solutions, and deliver clear financial outcomes (margin expansion, efficiency and capability uplift).

This role will lead a small high‑performing team of analysts and change professionals. Key to this role is ensuring Davies adopts a data‑driven, scalable, and best‑practice approaches to operational and strategic delivery.

The role sits within the Transformation Office, reporting to the Group Transformation Director, and is a key contributor to the strategic growth agenda, alongside Group initiatives and projects.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Enterprise Change
  • Partner into leadership to define, shape, and deliver strategic initiatives across the enterprise.
  • Act as a core member of the Transformation management team, contributing to high-level planning and decision making.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including executive leaders, investors, and third‑party vendors.
  • Provide strategic insight grounded in data analytics, financial modelling, and market understanding, particularly within the insurance sector.
Data, Insights & Business Case Development
  • Champion a data-science-informed approach, enabling data-led decision making across the enterprise.
  • Build compelling, investment-ready business cases with clear benefit profiles and tracked, realisable value.
  • Develop high-quality executive-level materials, including board papers, investment decks, and performance updates.
  • Build and review financial models (CapEx, OpEx, exceptional items) to support strategic decision-making.
Team Leadership & Capability Development
  • Lead, nurture, and grow a small team of business analysts and change professionals, fostering a culture of excellence.
  • Coach and mentor junior and senior team members, ensuring high-quality delivery and strong career development pathways.
  • Step in to assume team responsibilities if required, supporting business needs during periods of change or transition.
Delivery Excellence & Continuous Improvement
  • Oversee multiple complex initiatives simultaneously, ensuring alignment with organisational strategy and target outcomes.
  • Promote continuous improvement across the Transformation Office and Davies Enterprise-wide, embedding Lean, Six Sigma, Agile, and other process improvement methodologies.
  • Guide the function through delivery maturity, helping teams adopt stronger practices, structures, and ways of working.
  • Drive effective matrix working, ensuring clarity, collaboration, and accountability across organisational boundaries.
Governance, Risk & Vendor Management
  • Manage and oversee third-party vendors, ensuring value for money, performance accountability, and aligned delivery.
  • Ensure all initiatives are governed effectively, with appropriate cadence, reporting, risks, and mitigation structures.
  • Provide challenge and upward management to executive leaders to secure timely decisions and delivery-critical inputs.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

Essential
  • 10-15yrs experience data science and/or consulting management role under strategy, transformation, or change.
  • High‑energy, self‑directed change agent who takes end‑to‑end ownership of investment and project delivery to drive measurable value creation.
  • Strong understanding of data science concepts and their application in enterprise decision making.
  • Deep knowledge of process improvement methodologies, including Lean, Six Sigma, and Agile.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple high-priority work pacakages simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and executive storytelling.
  • Expertise in building business cases, financial models, and investor-level strategic materials.
Desirable
  • Consulting background, with experience delivering within complex, matrixed organisations.
  • Experience within the financial services sector, ideally with significant exposure to insurance.
  • Experience working within a private equity–backed environment.
  • Familiarity with large-scale digital, operational, or technology-enabled transformation.
