What you'll do
- Prepare construction drawings, layouts, and exhibits in accordance with GDOT Plan Presentation Guide & Electronic Data Guidelines and/or SCDOT plan preparation guidelines
- Perform geometric calculations and estimate construction quantities using CADD tools
- Assist with the design and development of transportation improvement projects, including roadway and related infrastructure plans
- Coordinate regularly with project managers and multidisciplinary teams to support project delivery
- Produce and refine design files, ensuring accuracy, quality, and adherence to project standards
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor to support transportation projects
What you bring
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- 3+ years of experience working on transportation design projects
- EIT certification preferred
- Strong working knowledge of MicroStation V8 and InRoads or GEOPAK
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software
- Ability to read engineering plans and perform basic calculations
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D is a plus

On-site: Monday–Thursday 7:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m.; Friday 7:30 a.m.–11:30 a.m.
