Responsibilities

  • Coordinate day-to-day underwriting activities and ensure smooth handling of new and existing business
  • Assess and evaluate insurance risks within delegated authority levels
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of underwriting standards and operational processes
  • Contribute to portfolio monitoring, profitability analysis, and risk quality management
  • Act as a referral point for technical underwriting matters and complex cases
  • Provide coaching and guidance to junior team members when needed
  • Liaise with brokers, intermediaries, and business partners to support business retention and growth
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to facilitate efficient policy administration and service delivery
  • Ensure underwriting activities are aligned with internal controls and regulatory requirements
  • Assist management with reporting, business planning, and performance tracking activities

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in general insurance underwriting

  • Previous exposure to Liability, Cargo, Marine, or commercial insurance lines will be considered an advantage

  • Experience in a senior underwriting or team coordination role is preferred

  • Familiarity with insurance market practices and underwriting principles

  • Strong analytical thinking and risk assessment capabilities

  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple tasks efficiently

  • Team-oriented approach with leadership potential

  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills

  • Comfortable working with underwriting platforms and MS Office applications

  • Fluency in Greek and English, both written and spoken

  • Commercial awareness and customer-focused mindset
