Part Time Hourly, Flexible Hours
We are looking for an experienced wire harness technician to support the build of spaceflight and high-reliability harness assemblies. This role is focused on precision fabrication, cleanliness, and adherence to aerospace standards. You will be working directly with engineering to build flight hardware used in spacecraft payloads. You must have previous spaceflight harness manufacturing experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Build flight-ready wire harnesses from drawings, schematics, and pinouts with minimal supervision
- Perform crimping, soldering, shielding, and connector assembly to spaceflight standards
- Work with Micro-D, Nano-D, MIL-DTL-38999, and similar flight connectors
- Execute proper shielding terminations, lacing, strain relief, and routing
- Inspect and test harnesses (continuity, shorts, workmanship) prior to delivery
- Maintain ESD, FOD, and cleanliness requirements appropriate for flight hardware
- Generate clean as-built documentation
Required Experience
- Prior experience building spaceflight or flight-qualified harnesses (satellite, launch vehicle, or similar)
- Working knowledge of NASA-STD-8739.4, IPC/WHMA-A-620 Class 3, or equivalent
- Proven ability to build harnesses independently
- Experience with shielded cables, twisted pairs, coax, and high-density connectors
- Electrical soldering and rework
- Strong ability to read and execute wiring diagrams and pinouts accurately
Nice to Have
- Experience with environmental requirements for space hardware (vibe, TVAC considerations)
- Familiarity with test equipment (hipot, insulation resistance, etc.)
- Experience supporting the integration of flight hardware
- Experience designing flight rate harnessing

Qualifications (Required)
- Education: High school diploma or GED
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in spacecraft harness manufacturing
- Skills:
- Basic ability to read work instructions or diagrams
- Manual dexterity and the ability to work with small components
- Ability to perform physical requirements with or without reasonable accommodation
- Must be authorized to work in the United States (ITAR compliant)
