Xpression Builder/Operator (Broadcast Graphics)

Job Summary

The XPression Builder/Operator is responsible for creating and managing graphics using the Ross XPression system in a professional broadcast or live stream studio environment.

Responsibilities:

• Design and build show graphics using the Ross XPression system, ensuring all graphics are ready a day ahead of scheduled broadcasts.

• Create templates for regular programming to streamline production workflows and maintain consistency in visual presentation.

• Oversee the preparation of routine graphics such as L3s (lower thirds) and URs (upper thirds), with the capability to make real-time edits as necessary during live broadcasts.

• Work closely with producers, directors, and other team members to understand graphic requirements and ensure timely delivery of high-quality visuals.

• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to gather feedback, make revisions, and meet production deadlines.

• Utilize extensive experience with the Ross XPression platform to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to graphics rendering and playback.

• Adapt graphics for various delivery devices and formats, ensuring compatibility and optimal performance across different broadcast environments.

Required Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Broadcasting, Graphic Design, Media Production, or a related field is preferred.

• Relevant certifications or training in Ross XPression or graphic design software/tools is advantageous.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a professional live stream studio environment, with a focus on graphic development.

• Proficiency in the Ross XPression platform, with at least 3 years of hands-on experience building production graphics.
