Global Products & Solutions (GPS) plays a central role in shaping client-focused investment strategies, developing innovative financial products, and providing expert advisory across all major asset classes. Our GPS Platform & Services team aims to strategically develop.

The GPS Platform Transformation drives innovation across the Global Products & Solutions (GPS) platform to enable sustainable growth through cutting-edge technology. Our focus is on delivering maximum value at optimal cost, while ensuring platform health, performance, and reliability.

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with a strong, global Foreign Exchange (FX) and Precious Metals (PM) background covering the full spectrum of products, including Spot, Forwards, Swaps, NDFs, Options, ACDC and TARF/TARN. The role focuses on translating business needs into practical technology solutions, bridging business needs and technology solutions within the sales and trading environment.

The GPS Platform Transformation FX/PM Business Analyst reports to Head of Sales Platform.

YOUR CHALLENGE

Key features of the position

Business Analysis & Requirements Gathering

• Work with cross-functional stakeholders to identify, analyse, and document business requirements, ensuring they align with strategic objectives.
• Review existing business processes to spot gaps, inefficiencies, and risks, and recommend practical, measurable improvements.
• Convert business needs into clear delivery artefacts such as business requirement documents, user stories, process maps, acceptance criteria, and decision logs.
• Challenge requirements constructively, evaluate solution options and help stakeholders reach clear decisions on scope, priorities and expected outcomes.
• Document end-to-end user journeys or workflows, supporting architecture, product owners and software development teams.
• Maintain requirements traceability, manage controlled change processes, and ensure alignment from discovery to delivery.

FX/PM & Sales Applications

• Provide business analysis across FX and Precious Metals instruments, including Spot, Forwards, Swaps, NDFs, Options and structured or exotic products.
• Produce end-to-end solution documents, implementation blueprints and documents. Work closely with architects and SMEs to define strategic and scalable solutions.
• Analyse end-to-end FX and Precious Metals workflows across pricing, quoting, execution, booking, risk management, settlement, accounting and post-trade processing including client allocation.
• Ensure requirements reflect product-specific conventions, including currency pairs, value dates, settlement methods, physical or cash delivery, and lifecycle events.
• Analyse FX/PM pricing and execution requirements, including market-data inputs, spreads, RFQ and streaming-price behaviour and trader intervention.
• Analyse existing FX/PM applications, interfaces and processes to identify capability gaps, duplicated activities, control weaknesses and opportunities for optimisation.

Regulatory responsibilities &/or risk management

• Meet all legal, regulatory, and compliance standards/requirements.
• Adhere to the standards and expectations outlined in the relevant user manuals and guidelines.
• Knowledge and expertise in regulatory and market conduct (best execution practices, market conduct codes, limit order management).
• Demonstrate appropriate values and behaviours including, but not limited to standards on honesty and integrity, due care and diligence, fair dealing (treating customers fairly), management of conflicts of interest, competence and continuous development, adequate risk management, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Professional & technical

• Relevant higher educational and professional background with 5+ years of experience in business analysis and support.
• Profound knowledge and experience of foreign exchange products and applications that serve a large user base ranging from Sales, Relationship Managers to End Clients.
• Have a deep understanding of volatility surfaces (smile, skew, term structure) and option Greeks (Delta, Gamma, Vega, Vanna, Volga) as well as overall handling of market data.
• Knowledge of OTC (multi-leg) strategies such as Risk Reversals, Straddle , Strangle, Bull & Bear Spread would be beneficial.
• Apply delivery tools and practices such as Jira, Confluence and Agile methodologies to maintain clear requirements and delivery traceability.
• Strong analytical & problem-solving skills with the ability to present concise, actionable solutions.
