Position Overview
Associated Ambulance is currently seeking qualified Primary Care Paramedics (PCP) to join our team at multiple stations across the province. Although these full-time positions are currently temporary, they offer a predictable and balanced shift schedule of four days on, followed by four days off and may revert to permanent opportunties within the organization. As a PCP with Associated Ambulance, you will be an essential part of our emergency medical response team, providing vital pre-hospital care and life-saving interventions to the community.

COLD LAKE 12 Hour
BARRHEAD Core/Flex
LAC LA BICHE 12 Hour
ATHABASCA 12 Hour
WHITECOURT Core/Flex
Key Responsibilities
- Assess patient conditions to determine the extent of injury or illness and immediate care requirements.
- Administer pre-hospital emergency medical care, including patient stabilization for ambulance transportation.
- Monitor vital signs, assess blood glucose levels, and perform other diagnostic procedures.
- Execute advanced life support procedures such as intubation and cardiac pacing.
- Work collaboratively with emergency medical personnel, emergency communications officers, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
Qualifications
- Valid Primary Care Paramedic practice permit that meets the EMS practice requirements in Alberta.
- Current, valid Alberta Class IV driver’s license and VSC.
- Completion of all mandatory and required training, including MCP and PDIC.
- FARE Certificate
