Access Kids Director (South Lakeland)

SUMMARY

We dream of a church where kids wake their parents up on Sundays, excited to go to church! We want every kid who comes to Access Church to have the best day of their week!

We’re looking for a creative, passionate, energetic pastor to take Access Kids to the next level. Think Nickelodeon levels of fun!

We’re looking for someone who loves seeing families grow closer to Jesus. Our theme at Access Kids is: Where every kid is seen, known, and loved.

The Access Kids Director responsible for building, equipping, and leading a team of Team Access volunteer leaders. The ideal candidate will work closely with Family Pastor and team (Early Childhood, Elementary, Youth, and Young Adult ministry teams) to support weekly services for our elementary students, where kids can encounter Jesus.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Must exemplify a high level of passion for sharing the vision of Access Kids with our community.
• Facilitate ongoing training and coaching for volunteers and next steps for families.
• Ability to stay organized and can maintain administrative duties.
• Effective at conflict management, time management, and coaching skills.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills.
• Maintain composure during stressful situations.
• Up to 12 months of related work experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create the most incredible weekly services for elementary age kids!
• ​​Recruit and inspire people to serve in Access Kids.
• Make sure ​​leaders are equipped to serve and rooms are set up for families to have an excellent experience.
• Connect with Access Kids leaders weekly via phone calls, in-person meetings and leading volunteers in group communication.
• Help ensure the overall operations of the weekend are meeting all expectations.
• ​​Maintain a positive Access Kids environment that inspires volunteers and families to engage in the ministry.
• Communicate daily with the Family Pastor.
• Balance tasks and relational aspects of the role.
• Lead day-to-day operations of the ministry.
